Last weekend Kit and I decided we need a break from the normal weekend of hanging out in Leicester. Plus we had some amazing weather. So we decided to take the train to Oakham, Rutland to go biking around the Rutland Waters. The train ride was only a half an hour and we then rented bikes there. It was so nice to be in nature and getting some exercise. We love being in the city but we have really missed nature around us. We had an amazing day. It took us around 3 hours to ride around 17 miles (with a stop in the middle at a pub). The trail is filled with many stops along the way; cake, food, a small stone village, flowers, an old church, a pub and more. It was just the thing we needed to recharge are batteries. We had perfect weather, not to hot, not to cold. I thank Kit for giving me a kick in butt and making us go away for the day!

Sheep on one side, us on the other. It was like being in New Zealand.
Kit had on this red jersery he got in South America, and as we were riding along this little kid turns to his mom and says: "Why is the post man here" The Mailmen here where red shirts and ride bikes. We got a good laugh out of it.
