Sledding Snow Adventure

Can you find the cat?

We looked over and saw these two eyes glinting out of Kit's huge blue coat. Cats in Coats what could be cuter??

The storm has past and I have had two days off of school and one more tomorrow! It has been awesome. It started out with sleet/snow, more like ice pellets. We got about 3 inches of that on Monday night/ Tuesday. Then Tuesday night it turned into wonderful snow. We ended up with about 4 inches of snow on top of all the ice. So with Kit's wonderful 4 wheel drive we could get around pretty well. We heard of this great hill for sledding on a dam. We loaded up the car with friends and Bosky and went sledding. It was the biggest hill I have seen since Madison sledding. It was a blast and I am very sore.
Before we shoveled the cars out.
The first dam we got to and Bosky was pumped.

up the hill

He loved it, he would chase us down the hill and run back up. We think he went up and down the hill about two dozen times.

Sundays

The past couple of weekends have been spent getting over colds, trying to stay warm, and baking lots of bread. For Christmas we received a book called, In Defense of Food. The logo of the book is eat food, mostly vegetables. Kit read most of it and I read bits and pieces he marked for me. It talks about all of the preservatives in our food and how processed our food has become. It also states that food should be eaten slowly and enjoyed. He says we should not eat ingredients with high fructose corn syrup, modified corn starch, enriched flour, and xanthan gum. So we have been trying to buy foods with out those products while not spending too much money. It is very hard to find products these days with out these products. We always thought of ourselves as healthy eaters and tried to eat well, but everything has at least one of these products even the expensive bread. So we are now eating only homemade bread or co-op bought bread. We are also trying to eat meals that take longer to make and more natural products. Only if we had CSA's or even traders joes near us. Ah well hear are some pictures of our Sundays.

Bosky in the snow.

Bosky loved the snow. He had never seen so much snow and my parents had about a foot. He would hop through it since he couldn't run. He loved digging his nose in the snow, rolling around and chasing snow balls. I have never seen a dog love the snow like this guy.

Here is a movie of Bosky in the snow. It is slow to start with but then he starts running towards me and it is hilarious how he jumps through the snow when it gets deeper.
