Brighton is a city that people have been going to since the 17-1800's to sun bathe, and socialize. It is said that the sea water was good for what ails you and many people from London came here to swim, and drink the sea water.
Today Brighton is a very busy place on the weekend and is only a hour train ride from London. It reminded us of a small San Fransisco. It has small cobble stone lanes that have restaurants, funky little shops, pubs and people just milling around taking in the sights.

Brighton Pier has been around since 1899 and is a great place to grab a bite to eat, play arcade games, ride a roller coaster, or visit the house of horrors. It is fun place to visit for the old and the young. We went at night and it was all lit up and so beautiful. We missed the rides and food, but we enjoyed walking around and taking it all in.

While walking around Brighton we walked by the Good Companions Courage Pub, We thought it was a cute name.
me shopping and enjoying everything. The shops were so unique. I could have spent hours window shopping.
We also visited The Royal Pavilion who was built for King George IV. You couldn't take pictures in it but it was magnificent. It was fashioned in Chinese architecture and had amazing chandeliers and a fantastic kitchen.
Brighton was great and on Sunday we stopped by Oxford on our way home. Pictures to come soon.
