Rainbows

Kit and I were discussing how we think we have seen more rainbows here in New Zealand than we have seen in our whole life. I'm sure that isn't true, but we have seen at least 1 a week since we have been here. They are beautiful full rainbows where you can actually see all of the colors, even the indigo and violet. That is one thing about the rain I am enjoying is when the sun peeps out for 5 minutes you can bet you will see a rainbow. We have also been amazed at the amount of double rainbows you see here too.
Things have been really relaxing here lately. Kit worked half days last week and we have spent a lot of time inside because of the rain. I bought a 1500 piece puzzle that has been consuming our time for a hour here or there. We have watched way to much tv, but we have explored some new walks and paths around our house, even in the rain. Kit heads back to work tomorrow full time, so things will be back to normal around here. It will be me heading out into the rain and finding fun things to do with my time. My friend Regan asked me to document my "typical" day, so I'm taking on that challenge and have been working on taking pictures of my typical day activities. And in very good news, Kit's car sold in at home, so soon, very soon we should be buying a car for us. We don't car about anything flash, (people loving saying flash for fancy) we are actually looking for a mini van where the seats lay down in the back to make a bed for camping. We are so excited to go and explore more of New Zealand.
Rainbow pictures below

This is my rudimentary way of putting the rainbow pictures together, but you get the idea!

yay! i'm looking forward to that post! i'm also wondering how many americans you come across in new zealand and how new zealanders react to you-- like, oh no big deal, another american, or are you somewhat of a curiosity???
