Funny sights

Kit and I were eating lunch in a park a couple of weeks ago and I looked over at this bench to see these two people sleeping. We found it quite amusing, since they were both sleeping the same way like almost like they were praying. Since we were in a park next to a church they could have been praying, but they were definitely sleeping. They woke up about 20 minutes later and went on their way. We have been noticing strange and funny things around Dunedin and my new challenge for this blog is to try and capture some of the things that amuse us about here. I will leave you with some more funny sayings we have learned:

judder bars - speed bumps
flash- fancy
Manchester- linens (this one stumped us for a long time, we eventually had to look it up online)
loo or toliet- bathroom
bush- woods or outdoor land
Hoon- teenage punk
Jumper- sweater
knackered- tired
lolly- candy
nappies- diapers
Panel Beater- Car repair shop
Petrol-gas
Pressie-Present (pronounced prezzie)
tramping- hiking
Torch- flashlight

Awesome pic - if you're bored listen to 'Radio Lab' - it's on iTunes. Great podcast.
