Flight of the Elams: 2 months old

Lachlan is now 2 months old! We cannot imagine our life without him. We love him more and more everyday. He is smiling a lot more. His smily times of the day are right after he nurses in the morning and in the evening time. He really enjoys when we sing to him and move his hands with ours. We are hoping to hear his first laugh soon. He is talking so much more, and we love hearing his coos and ahhs. His favorite songs are Where is thumpkin, Row, row row your boat, Three bears song, All gods creatures, and Hakuna Matata. He loves music and really seems to enjoy One Love by Bob Marley.

On Lachlan's 2 month birthday he rolled over from his belly to his back three times in a row! He also rolled over once from his back to his belly. We haven't seen anymore rolling over yet, but he is on his way! He is more alert throughout the day and loves looking around at his environment especially if we are in a new place. We have had some warm weather here in the UK and we have spent a lot of days outside underneath trees and he enjoys every minute of it.

We went to a baby massage class and Lachlan really enjoyed being massaged and looking around at the other babies in the room. He is still enjoying his tummy time and can lift his head off the ground and look around at us. He has also started to swat at toys and objects we put near him. We have been showing him different objects to touch and feel, we love seeing his face when he feel something new.
He has also starting to grasp things more that we put near his hand. He loves the feel of mommy's hair on his face. He has been sleeping longer at night around 4 hours at a time which feels like a ton of sleep to Kit and I!

Lachlan is growing like a weed! We think he weighs almost 11 pounds. We get him weighed on Tuesday so we will find out for sure. He is getting a double chin and has grown so much since his 1 month photo shoot. He is getting longer and chubbier. He is officially out of his newborn clothes and in 3 month clothes!
