The Village of San Jose

We spent most of our days at the beach and afterwards would walking around the village during the evening, sampling tapas and sipping drinks. San Jose is mostly beautiful white washed houses perched on the hillsides overlooking the sea.

The view from our hotel room.
The yellow house you can see always had people milling about. They ate all of their food outside, cooked most of it outside and just sat there for hours talking and playing games.

Beware of dog-
a more beautiful sign than we usually see.

The village and the hills

The further you walked up into the hills the more beautiful the views became.

Prickly Pear Cactus. You can eat the fruit.

We saw lots of dogs wandering around. This one followed us for a bit and then was on a mission to be some where. We wondered were he was so intent on going and we happened upon him a bit later.
He was perched like this looking out over the ocean. This was a tabacco shop up in the hills. He had found the perfect spot.
