bikes galore!
The girls went to the Anne Frank House, which was fantastic. To prepare I re-read the Diary of Anne Frank. It was so amazing to be the rooms of Anne Frank and her family. When her father opened up the house as a museum, he wanted to take out all of the furniture but it was still so powerful being there.
We saw this on the street and I got excited that my name was on the street, but then we found out it means wet in Dutch. Oh well.
Another small car
We went to a market, where we got rained on, but is still fun.
At the market we had these yummy dutch pancakes called Poffertjes, with a little powdered sugar and butter. So good!!

A Dutch clog boat
We rented bikes and bike around the town. We got rained on a bit, but had a ton of fun.
We rode to a windmill brewery for some beer and cheese. (kind of felt like I was in Wisconsin only the cheese wasn't as good, but they did give us celery salt with the cheese)
Walking around Amsterdam
We walked by an old theater, where we could go in and listen to a guy playing the organ.
Kit and I actually went to this theater 9 years ago to see Star Wars: the Phantom Menace.
We loved Amsterdam and had a great European vacation!

greg was in amsterdam from august 27-september 3. i didn't even think about the fact that you might or could get there. was there any overlap?

Yes we were there the 26th to the 29th. That is so crazy!! We would have loved to see him. Oh well, keep us updated if he does any other European trips.

greg will be in denmark the tuesday before thanksgiving until the tuesday after thanksgiving. any chance you'll be there??? and guess what-- it's for an interview, so we might be moving there! anyway, we'd love to talk to you about europe, even if you won't be in denmark at that time. maybe we can email, cause i won't know if you post on here unless i come back to check this post (as I finally did today!).
