We got about an 1/2 inch of ice yesterday, then snow, then more ice, then snow, then a lot of ice. We woke up today with no power and about an inch of ice covering the car. We of course had a "ice day" today! SIU was even closed today which never happens. i don't have school tomorrow again! Sweet. It is nothing like my friend Regan in Madison. They have record amounts of snow and it is COLD.....
It took about an hour to defrost the car.

Oh I love grown up snow/ice days especially when you know the night before. and walking in the ice world when it sounds like a huge windchime... just magical. I love ice covered world- at least until it causes expensive damage, but for us, so far so good- knock on wood.
